Why Erik Rides a Limo: His Internet Marketing Strategy
In 2003, Erik brought his first laptop home without a hint of what he exactly wanted to do, except to follow what others have been doing: chat online. He was sold to the idea of online dating, and believing that chatting online is a cheaper alternative than downing bottles of beer at the local pub, at exactly 9 AM, Eastern Standard Time, he hit off his first key: www0
The rest was history.
Today, Erik owns 120 websites and a vibrant company employing 12 people in a plush condominium he also calls 0home0. His online dating was a success, having found Jane, but he hit 0jackpot0 with online marketing. What turned out to be a pastime became a lucrative endeavor for a guy who was not computer savvy to start off with, and whose only concept of a mouse was that little pest chewing up his shoe lace.
Jason, also hit his keyboard in 2003, precisely with the same line of thought, but with a little twist: to charm an Asian. He has a leaning towards Asian women because his mother was half Taiwanese. However, when he got online, he found something he loved to […]

Tip! You found a person that you really like trough online dating and you finally meet him in a bar. Remember that alcohol can affect your judgment.
Everyone who meets someone online is excited about getting to know them better. If there is a connection, you want to know right away. You should avoid asking a thousand questions however and stick to general topics at first. If you do start asking questions, even though you are not trying to, you might seem overbearing. You need to be patient and take things slowly. This will ensure that you create a natural environment in which you can evaluate if you have a connection or not.
Personal Questions
Stay away from asking personal questions. You can ask about your date’s family or friends, but don’t even think about asking about personal family issues or things like that. Anything personal your date wants to reveal is fine, but don’t try to pry. You should seem interested, but not crazy! So, be sure to keep the conversation on personal issues very general. Ask about their job, their favorite things, and what they love to do in their spare time. This will be a good place to start.
Physical Questions
Tip! Bigger is Better Everyone should know not to believe this myth when it comes to finding true love, and yet it persists when it comes to dating sites. Some online dating sites boast 12 million members and more, which sounds impressive.
If you have not met each other yet, you might want to be careful about how many physical questions you ask your online date. You may ask for a photo, but don’t try to ask them their weight or height. Anything you can’t determine in the photo, you will see for yourself when you meet. If you start asking really in depth physical questions, your date will only think you are shallow.

Tip! Set realistic goals and be positive, assured, and a complete person. Don’t let online dating be the only interest in life.
While you are going through the motions of online dating, you will likely meet a few people you are interested in getting to know better. When you meet these people you will probably have a million questions on your mind that you want to ask. You should refrain from asking certain things too early in the process however. Check out these two things you should steer clear of initially.
Religious Topics
The easiest way to scare an online date off is to mention religious beliefs that clash with theirs. For instance, maybe they are a Christian and you are a non-believer. When you mention this, they will likely run! So, to be on the safe side, you should not ask about religious preference until you get to know them better. Allow them to get to know you, aside from your beliefs, and then you can talk about your differences. Chances are, if they like you a lot, they will be willing to work it all out.
Political Topics
Another sticky topic to try to avoid during the initial phases of online dating is politics. Talking about politics can get some people very upset. Obviously not everyone will agree on politics, which is one great thing about politics altogether. However, you may only get into a heated debate by talking about politics before you know each other better.
