Judging from the amount of people who are using websites to find dates, it would be pretty amazing if only a small number of those people were taking it completely seriously. Why would people pay a lot of money every month for a service that is helping them meet potential soul mates, but only use the website as some sort of entertainment? It might sound a bit silly, but that is what a vast majority of the people who use these websites are doing. They are not actually looking for a soul mate 0 they are just playing online dating games.
If they were not paying heaps of money for access to the website, it might be more plausible that flirting with the other members of the website would be the extent of the contact being established between the members of the website. However, since they pay so much money to use the website, where is the logic in only using it for entertainment purposes?
